Matsui 55 Baseball Foundation and New York Yankees teamed up with Pitch In For Baseball and Softball and helped local athletes from the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) in New York City get the gear they needed to play baseball and softball.
In 2005, Pitch In For Baseball (PIFB) was created with the purpose of collecting new and gently used equipment to redistribute to children around the globe enabling them to play ball. Over the past 12+ years, PIFB has expanded programming and partners to help more than 700,000 boys and girls get on the field in every state in the U.S. and more than 90 countries internationally.
